Battling on well, he held off stablechum Drumbeat and Andre Fabre’s Feels All Right. The runner-up filled the same spot in the Gerry Fielden at Newmarket recently, while the third home won a Conditions Race in France this March.
He held off his rivals without looking overly impressive
Fame And Glory reappeared in the Group Three Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown. Noted as a strong, handsome horse, he travelled powerfully throughout the race. Approaching the turn into the short straight, he went on and held off Fergus McIver and Mourayan, (did not get the best of runs) without looking overly impressive. Fame And Glory will stay a mile and a half and should improve further for the step up in trip. At present, we know he is effective on good to soft or softer ground. Despite being progressive and unbeaten, I am not sure if his form, as it stands, suggests he is a Derby winner in waiting. Montjeu progeny winning distances
