Having won her maiden at Newmarket by six lengths in July, she returned to the same track and repeated the trick in the Group Three Solera Stakes, once again, over seven-furlongs. Sent to Doncaster for the one-mile Group Two May Hill Stakes, she oozed class throughout the race. Challenging on the bit and winning easily. Although the second was beaten on her final start, the third filly home Lahaleeb went on to take the Group Two Rockfel Stakes at headquarters.
Rainbow View clearly has the breeding and ability to go right to the top
Rainbow View’s final start came in the Group One Meon Valley Stud Stakes over a mile at Ascot. She had to work harder that day, but still came home two and a half lengths in front of Luca Cumani’s highly-rated filly Fantasia. Luca was lavish in his praise of the winner after the race; high recommendation in itself. A daughter of Dynaformer, whose best offspring stay ten-furlongs, her dam has produced two other horses that were best at distances up to nine-furlongs. Rainbow View clearly has the breeding and ability to go right to the top in her three-year-old career. A late foal (21st May 2006), she should improve as the season progresses. John Gosden has reported she will go straight to the 1000 Guineas, as it is a long season and she gets herself fit at home. Dynaformer progeny winning distance analysis (Europe)
