MYBOYCHARLIE (IRE) (20 Apr 2005) b c

Trainer: T Stack
Danetime (IRE) - Dulceata (IRE) (Rousillon (USA))
FSF Rating: 151
Form: 111

Four-generation pedigree

Myboycharlie is the tenth foal of Dulceata; he is, by some margin, the best of his dam’s offspring. Winner of three races, two of these came on soft ground, one on heavy ground. Having won his maiden at the Curragh, he returned there to take the Group Three Dubai Duty Free Anglesey Stakes by seven-lengths under a hand-ride.

Upped to Group One Company he was dispatched to Deauville for the Prix Morny; running for the first time in Mrs. Magnier’s colours with Kieran Fallon on board. Faced with the useful looking filly Natagora, he travelled well throughout the race before quickening away from the filly to win by two-lengths, in comfortable fashion.

Myboycharlie has the build of a sprinter; his sire Danetime, is yet to produce a Group One winning miler. His dam’s breeding suggests he may stay a mile; overall impression is one of a colt that will find the 2000 Guineas a trip too far.
