Camillo Shines in Racecourse Side GallopFiled on 28 Apr 2007 @ 11:13
Jeremy Noseda was a happy man around 7.45 on Saturday morning. The final touches were put to star filly Sander Camillo in a good paced gallop over racecourse side when she dispelled all the worries over her lack lustre performance in The Nell Gwyn Stakes. She bounced back well and must surely have been 'wrong' at Newmarket last time. 'Let's let the filly do the talking' quipped Noseda after this thorough trial. She has already been shortened up by the layers as the grapevine gets into action. Your correspondent was quick to get some 6/1 available with Victor Chandler as the key turned in the door. I heard that two gentlemen from the Emerald Isle came over early for the Guineas and took a stroll down Newmarket High Street SHIRTS £3 SUITS £6 TROUSERS £3.50 Pat his mate was quick to assess the possible coup and said 'we'll buy a load take em back and flog em for the real price in Dublin. Mick replied I'll diguise my voice so they don't know where we come from -we'll make a killing here! In they went and ordered 60 suits 80 pairs of trousers and 100 shirts. The man behind the counter said are,nt you from Ireland lads? How the hell did you know said Mick. The reply was Because this is a f......Dry Cleaners !!!
