YORK REPORT Henry where he should be!Filed on 17 May 2007 @ 06:03
My day at York was enjoyable and profitable. I trust you followed my advice and had a good day. It all started with Henry Cecil, back where he should be, after Passage of Time won The Musidora. Racing folk love the man,and his post race interview suggested he was overwhelmed by the general public's attitude and desire for him to get back to the top. I proceeded to have a few glasses of the house Champage after The Musidora, before having a large each way bet on Soldiers Tale, who ran his race in the last furlong to finish best of them all into third spot. No real critisism but I felt he did come from a long way back? I had to wait for the last before I struck, and Spice Route did the business for us all. Spencer is one of my favourite jockeys and he made no mistake on Bell's regarded colt owned by Usk Valley Stud. All those brown envelopes I handed out must have worked! Having looked at the racecards I decided to head back to HQ for the weekends racing and that good looking card at Newbury on Friday. I think we should be on POLAR CIRCLE in the opener on Friday at Newbury. The Queen Mary beckons!!! If Noseda sends GOLDEN WAVE to Thirsk on Saturday I would certainly have an interest. I missed my curry at York but made up for it in Newmarket Indian Cuisine where after a few Kingfishers and a lamb vindaloo I eased back thinking what a wonderful sport this Horse Racing really is. Back next Wednesday. WORKWATCHER
