New sires for 2008 - Amadeus WolfFiled on 17 Dec 2007 @ 15:29
New sires for 2007 | New sires for 2008 | Fee tables - all sires Amadeus Wolf (IRE)Mozart - Rachelle, by Mark Of Esteem A talented sprinter, Amadeus Wolf was the winner of the Group Two Gimcrack Stakes and the Group One Middle Park as a juvenile (he beat Red Clubs, who retires to Tally-Ho Stud, on both occasions), Amadeus Wolf struggled against his elders in sprints at three. That said, he was placed three times at Group One level, behind Marchand d’Or in the Prix Maurice de Gheest and twice behind Reverence in the Nunthorpe and the Haydock Sprint Cup. His love affair with York was rekindled on his first start at three, when he won the Group Two Duke of York Stakes on what was to be his finest run. A dip in form followed, with four runs in Group Ones yielding midfield finishes. Amadeus Wolf is a son of the late Mozart, himself a Group One-winning sprinter and one of Danehill’s best sons.
