New sires for 2008 - HeliostaticFiled on 18 Dec 2007 @ 16:50
New sires for 2007 | New sires for 2008 | Fee tables - all sires Heliostatic (IRE)Galileo - Affianced, by Erins Isle Bred, owned and trained by Jim Bolger, Heliostatic fell short of the top level, but ran consistently in Pattern company for his one Stakes success, in the Group Three Meld Stakes. He is out of a smart 10f-winning mare who is a half sister to a number of top class performers, including the Group One-placed Sholokov. He joins another Bolger homebred son of Galileo at stud this season in Teofilo. Teofilo was retained by Bolger after Coolmore had come purchasing – they took instead Heliostatic’s full brother Soldier Of Fortune, the runaway Irish Derby winner who stays in training as a four-year-old, and who is certain to command a higher price at the conclusion of his racing days. Heliostatic showed his best form over a mile to 10f, making him one of Galileo’s speedier offspring – his progeny average winning distance is 11f. With Teofilo, Sixites Icon, Red Rocks and New Approach flying the flag for this sire line at the highest level, Heliostatic should be a popular recruit to the Irish stallion ranks. Race record
