A good looking Milan gelding (Lot 199) out of a Be My Native half sister to Grade One placed hurdler Kildare topped the opening session of the Goffs Land Rover Sale when knocked down to agent Aiden Murphy for €92,000. The three year old was consigned by Ballincurrig House Stud. The second highest price on Day 1 was Rathmore Stud’s son of Indian Danehill who fetched €90,000 when bought by Highflyer and trainer Nicky Henderson. The three year old is out of an own sister to twelve time winner and Group One placed French colt Kalimisik. Ginger McCain went to €82,000 for an Oscar half brother to a Listed winning chaser (Lot 70) out a five time winning dam. Sold by Norman Williamson’s Oak Tree Farm, the gelding is closely related to Bacchanal, a Grade 1 winner both over hurdles and fences. Meanwhile Gerry Hogan signed for Donald King’s Presenting gelding (Lot 161) at €65,000. The gelding is a half brother to the Jim Lewis owned and Henrietta Knight trained Rosslea who is a dual winner and was placed in a Grade 1 chase. Trade on the opening day returned an average price of €24,894, median of €20,000 and total turnover was €3,983,000.
