The Twin Palms draft, comprising the Johnson Family Dispersal, again provided the session topper at the Australian Weanling & Breeding Stock Sale, with a Redoute's Choice weanling colt from the Spectrum mare Dancing selling to KP Thoroughbreds for $300,000.

In total $3.86million was traded with a clearance rate of 84%. The select weanling session averaged $21,426 and included five weanlings that fetched $100,000 or more.

Strada and Nadeem both featured in the New Sire Showcase and the pair had progeny in demand today, with weanlings selling for $135,000 and $125,000 respectively.

Every state in Australia was represented by buyers, in addition to clients from the United States, Singapore, Japan, South Africa, the Philippines and New Zealand, who were particularly strong over both days.

Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said: "This is only the second year of this sale but it has very quickly established its place on the sales calendar and its timing has proven ideal for quality dispersals.

"Yesterday's session finished with a clearance rate of 80% and that solid start was built on today.

"We had a lot of inquiry from pinhookers for this sale and we look forward to reoffering their purchases at next year's yearling sales."
