Since then he has been placed in the G1 Rheinland Pokal and G2 Union Oppenheim Rennen, and finished fourth in the Dubai World Cup. Sold for €580,000 at last season's Arc Sale, he is a half brother to five winners, one of them Listed-placed, out of the Listed-placed Acatenango mare Estefania. She in turn is a half sister to the Listed winner Emporio, from the family of Group One winner Elle Danzig.

Halling is quietly having a good season, with this first Group One winner of the year joining Group winners Cavalryman and Certerarch for earnings just shy of £2m, with an AEI of 1.6.
