The dam Sacarina is an unraced half sister to two winners out of a winner, and the third dam Bravour won the Group Three German 1000 Guineas and produced two Listed winners.

Monsun has seven stakes winners amongst 37 individual winners headed by three time Group One heroine Stacelita and dual Group One winner Getaway. His progeny excel at middle distances, with only 7% of his wins coming at 1m 6f and above. The Gestut Schlenderhan resident is by a wide margin the leading German-based sire.
