The Peter Schiergen-trained Kamsin (Samum - Kapitol, by Winged Love) powered home through the rain to win the Group One Deutsches Derby at Hamburg on Sunday on only his third career start.

Kamsin took the lead over half a mile out and came wide down the centre of the track to win in some style from the long-time leader Ostland. Andrew Balding's Top Lock was third.
