A Juddmonte homebred, Midday is out of a winning half sister to Fillies' Mile and Oaks winner Reams Of Verse and Eclipse Stakes winner Elmaamul, both out of the unraced producer Modena. The family has had a quick stakes double, with Modena's great grandson Zacinto winning the preceding Thoroughbred Stakes.

This is Oasis Dream's first Group One win since Naaqoos won the Grand Criterium last October. The Juddmonte sire has had Group One places this season courtesy of Midday, Main Aim and Aqlaam, and has 10 stakes winners, 7% of his 139 runners and fully 17% of his 59 winners. He remaisn well ahead of Dalakhani at the head of the third crop isres' list.
