This is the second Group One win for Irish St Leger winner Alandi, whose three-year-old half sister Aliyfa was second to him in the Listed Ballycorus Stakes before winning the Listed Oyster Stakes herself. Their dam Aliya was a Listed-winning own sister to the disqualified Oaks winner Aliysa, who was later to become the dam of Desert Story and Alaiyda, who in turn became the dam of Classic winner Alamshar.
