Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, the colt is out of the Holy Bull mare Emptythetill. He was purchased by Just For Fun Stables.

SGV Thoroughbreds paid top price of $140,000 for a filly by Malibu Moon out of the stakes-placed Quiet American mare My American Girl. She was consigned by Peter O’Callaghan’s Woods Edge Farm, agent.

Average down a third as September Yearling Sale closes
The Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale came to a close on Thursday evening with an improved clearance rate from last year, at 78% against 64% last year, but decreases in all other indicators.

The SGA Selected Yearling Sale opened on Monday with slow trade headed by a Galileo filly that sold to Bruno Grizzetti for €180,000. The filly was consigned by SARL and is out of the winning mare Frottola, from the family of Nashmiah.

John C. Oxley, who raced 2001 Kentucky Derby winner Monarchos, paid the top price, bidding $370,000 for a dark bay or brown filly by Street Cry (IRE) out of Manda Island.
