75% clearance rate as average drops by 31%
The first day of the St Leger Festival Sales, held under lights at the DBS Sales Complex following racing at Doncaster on the first day of the St Leger meeting, saw relatively quiet trade with a total of 58 lots sold from the 77 offered for £516,400, a fall of 21% from last year. The average fell by 31% to £8,903 and the median was off by 50% to £6,000.
