Hip No. 383, El Kingdom, a colt by El Prado (IRE) consigned by Eisaman Equine, Agent, went to Steve Weizcholz, Eddie Plesa, Agent, for $450,000 to top the second and final session of the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's 2009 March Sale of Selected 2-Year-Olds in Training. The gray or roan colt, who breezed a quarter in :20 4/5 at the Under Tack Show, is out of graded stakes winner Rabiadella, by Dynaformer, and is a half brother to graded winner Diadella.

Hip No. 212, a filly by Indian Charlie consigned by Jerry Bailey Sales Agency, Agent, was sold for $425,000 to Grace Stables, LLC, Barbara Banke and Jess Jackson’s racing entity for fillies, to top the first session of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2009 March Sale of Selected 2-Year-Olds in Training. The bay filly, out of stakes winner Hollywood and Wine, by Tactical Cat, worked an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show.

The Barretts Equine March sale of selected two-year-olds in training at Hinds Pavilion in Pomona, California, on Tuesday saw a Tiznow colt top proceedings when falling to a $650,000 bid from Jess Jackson’s Stonestreet Stables. The colt had worked one furlong in :10.60 at the under-tack show on March 5 at Fairplex Park.

A son of Danehill Dancer topped trade at Goffs Breeze Up at Kempton on Friday when selling to Ed Sackville of Kern Lillingston for £58,000. Purchased on behalf of Qatar based owner Mohamed Al Attiya, the Jamie Railton consigned colt is out of a half sister to triple Group One winner Goldikova and will go into training with Tom Dascombe. Bobby O’Ryan meanwhile signed for the next highest priced two year old of the sale for owner Rob Lloyd, Harefield Stud’s Kyllachy colt of Stakes winner Mithl Al Hawa bought for £56,000.

The daughter of Danehill Dancer was offered as part of the Damion Flower dispersal, which also included the day's second highest priced lot.

Buy-back rate improves as average declines 25.5%

Cup o' Joe, a colt by Medaglia d'Oro, was the top lot at the 2009 Fasig-Tipton Calder sale of selected two-year-olds in training on Tuesday when selling to John Ferguson for $1.6 million. The colt is a half brother to Grade One winner Midas Eyes and two other stakes winners and was bred by Fred and Jane Brei's Jacks or Better Farm.
