Bushranger impresses in Prix MornyFiled on 24 Aug 2008 @ 13:52
Danetime colt sugegsts Mastercraftsman form is strong with Morny winThe David Wachman-trained colt Bushranger (Danetime - Danz Danz, by Efisio) was second to Flashman's Papers in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot before putting in a career best when winning the Group Three Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh in July. He ran below that form when beaten by Guineas favourite Mastercraftsman and Art Connoisseur in the Group One Phoenix Stakes on good to firm ground last time, but bounced back with a Group One win in the Prix Morny at Deauville on Sunday on his preferred good going. Johnny Murtagh produced the son of Danetime with a perfectly timed run to grab the lead from Brian Meehan's Gallagher, going clear to win by a comfortable half length. Karl Burke's Lord Shanakill took third a further two and a half lengths back. Filed on 24 Aug 2008 @ 13:52
