Duke Of Marmalade sees off Finsceal BeoFiled on 25 May 2008 @ 14:28
Aidan O'Brien's four-year-old Prix Ganay winner Duke Of Marmalade (Danehill - Love Me True, by Kingmambo) won the Group One Tattersalls Gold Cup over 10f at the Curragh on Sunday, seeing off the Jim Bolger-trained Finsceal Beo by a length and a quarter to land odds of 1-3. Finsceal Beo had looked a threat a furlomg out as she cruised up to Duke Of Marmalade, but Johnny Murtagh asked the Danehill colt for a renewed effort that saw him secure his second successive Group One. Duke Of Marmalade ran well in the highest compny last year without winning, but looks set for an excellent season at four. Filed on 25 May 2008 @ 14:28
