Her Majesty the Queen had a Listed winner at Newmarket on Saturday when her Montjeu filly Enticement (Montjeu - Ecoutila, by Rahy) won the Montrose Fillies' Stakes over a mile, staying on well in the final furlong to outbattle Super Sleuth by a short head. Splashdown was third, three quarters of a length down.

A 310,000 gns Tattersalls yearling, Enticement was an encouraging winner at Nottingham on her debut last time. She is trained by Sir Michael Stoute and was ridden by Jimmy Fortune, who had a Listed double when Cheveley Park Stud homebred Virtual (Pivotal - Virtuous, by Exit To Nowhere) came with a strong run off a slow pace to win the Listed Ben Marshall Stakes over a mile.

This was a hat-trick for Virtual, who had won the Listed Prix le Fabuleux at Maisons-Laffitte last time.

The Listed James Seymour Stakes over 10f was won by Godolphin's With Interest (Selkirk - With Fascination, by Dayjur), making his stakes debut, who outstayed his stablemate Kirklees for a straightforward success.
