Passage Of Time back to winning ways

Juddmonte homebred Passage Of Time (Dansili - Clepsydra, by Sadler's Wells) was an early flagbearer in the return to form of trainer Henry Cecil, winning the Group One Criterium de Saint-Cloud as a juvenile.

At three Passage Of Time won the Musidora but a throat abscess saw her miss most of the summer before running third in the Prix Vermeille and the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf. She didn't show that level of form on two starts this spring, but has been working well at home of late.

Sent off at 10-1 in Saturday's Listed Steventon Stakes at Newbury, Passage Of Time travelled strongly for Ted Durcan, overhauling laong time leader Hearthstead Masion (third) a furlong out and buckling down well to see off the challenge of Luca Cumani's Bankable by a neck.

The earlier Weatherbys Super Sprint saw the William Haggas-trainer Jargelle break fast and lead throughout, but she only just hung on from Senor Mirasol and Infamous Angel in a three-way photograph.
