The Wlademar Hickst-trained Precious Boy (Big Shuffle--Pretty Su, by Surumu) ran out a decisive winner of the Group Two Mehl-Mulhens-Rennen (German 2,000 Guineas) over 1600m at Cologne on Monday. After proving troublesome to load, Precious Boy, the winner fo last season's Group Three Preis der Winterfavoriten, took command 200m out and galloped clear of his rivals, beating Konig Concorde by a length and a half. The favourite Liang Kay was a neck further back in third. The earlier Group Three Schwarzgold Rennen was won by Peace Royale (Sholokhov--Peace Time, by Surumu), bating Love Academy by half a length.
