The Derby winner steps back up to a mile and a half after his win in the International Stakes at York, where he beat Dylan Thomas, who reopposes on Sunday. The latter is one of four runners of Aidan O'Brien, along with Irish Derby winner Soldier Of Fortune, the supplemented Song Of Hiawatha and Yellowstone.

The home team is led by Grand Prix de Paris winner Zambezi Sun, trained by Pascal Bary whose Natagora won Friday's Cheveley Park Stakes. Getaway, Mandesha, and Sagara, who was well adrift of the winner in the Grand Prix de Paris, but suffered interference from the second horse home, are the other French runners.
