The Listed Distaff Stakes over a mile at Sandown on Saturday saw the Brian Meehan-trained Rosaleen (Cadeaux Genereux - Dark Rosaleen, by Darshaan) land the spoils, denying the fast finishing Visit by a neck.

Cheveley Park Stud's Illusion had cut out most of the running and looked like holding on in the straight as she saw off the challenge of Melodramatic. Rosaleen ran on well, though, when she hit the rising ground and took the lead in the final furlong, stretching clear. Sir Michael Stoute's Visit had to fin a gap and took time to find her stride but flew home - she will suely be winning again soon. Illusion clung on for third.
