Acclamation filly Shyrl, a close second to Langs Lashes in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, has broken her maiden in the EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Catterick on Wednesday. Shyrl raced prominently throughout today, quickening clear in the final stages to win by three and a half lengths under Jamie Spencer. Winning trainer Simon Callaghan added: "She will go for either the Molecombe Stakes at Goodwood or the Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte." Filed on 2 Jul 2008 @ 14:49
