Nayef colt wins Prix de Fontainebleau

Shadwell Homebred Tamayuz (Nayef - Al Ishq, by Nureyev) gave his young sire Nayef his second Group winner - Spacious having won the May Hill last season - when landing the Group Three Prix de Fontainebleau, a Guineas trial over a mile at Longchamp on Sunday.

A winner on both his starts for Freddy Head last season, Tamayuz was making his stakes debut. He raced under heavy restraint off the early lead set by Ballydoyle's Lucifer Sam, who was followed by Hello Morning.

Hello Morning grabbed the lead in the straight, only to be overhauled in turn by Tamayuz, who saw off Murcielago and opened up a decisive advantage. Hello Morning rallied once more to take second, ahead of Arcadia's Angle in third.

The race was inconclusive for Aidan O'Brien - on the heavy ground his two runners could only finish fifth and seventh.

High Rock brilliant in Prix la Force

Jean-Claude Rouget's High Rock (Rock Of Gibraltar Hint Of Silver, by Alysheba) won the Group Three Prix La Conde on his final outing at two and he returned with a bang in the Group Three Prix La Force over 2000m, dominating throughout and beating Salsalavie by six lengths to put himself in serious contention for the Prix du Jockey Club in June.

Christophe Lemaire had High Rock settled behind stablemate Mess Around before kicking for home at the top of the straight, quickly galloping clear and crossing the line in his own time.
