Vision d'Etat earns Classic run after Listed rompFiled on 24 Apr 2008 @ 17:04
The Eric Libaud-trained Vision d'Etat (Chichicastenango - Uberaba, by Garde Royale)will contest the Prix du Jockey-Club in June after running out an emphatic winner of the Listed Prix Suresnes over 10f at Chantilly on Thursday. The winner picked up well for Ioritz Mendizabal, winning by a comfortable three lengths ahead of Magadan, who was later disqualified and placed last after interfering with Americain, who finished last. Indian Daffodil was promoted to second. Eric Libaud told the Racing Post after the race: "He is a very tense individual who must have five or six weeks between races. The colt appears to run on something like Zantac. He has now deserved a run in the Jockey-Club. He is an anxious colt but one with a fine turn of foot." Chichicastenango had a sole Pattern winner last year in Chichi Creasy, the winner of the Group Three Prix de Fontainebleau - who is also out of a Garde Royale mare. Filed on 24 Apr 2008 @ 17:04
